@Wallachian The name of the faction will be Principality of Wallachia, and for Moldavia it will be Principality of Moldavia . I only used Romania because the game uses "Romania" as a name for the emergent faction in vanilla and all the files related to it are under this name .
In think that we should use the contemporary name of the states: Prinţipatului Ţării Româneşti or Prinţipatului Valahiei and Prinţipatului Moldovei. Maybe, in further versions we could translate all faction names into their native language

    2. For the first release which factions are we going to have except Wallachia and Moldavia? I propose either Serbia and Greece, either Greece and an Italian faction - for the Carbonari. In each case, Husserl, could we use the Greek roster from the Balkan.mod?

Following the revolt from 1815-1817, Serbia stayed away from conflicts for a while, so Carbonari faction (controlling Naples), together with Greece would be more fitting.

In regard to Moldavia, for start, I think it would be easier to present Moldavia nominally led by Sutu or Mitropolit Veniamin Costache, but the factor governed by Filike Eteria, and in consequence in war against Ottomans. At the same time, Filike Eteria should be represented as unrecruitable units controlled by Moldavia and Wallachia. My two cents'

Thank you, Husserl. And you did a great job with the religious buildings - +rep! (if I could...) . It will be really nice to have them in our mod. I hope I'll be able to put them in the mod soon.

    Cheers,

What about flags? Have you decided?

    I've started working on missions:

@ HusserlTW : Beautiful ! Great work and again, I must spread some rep, before adding to yours . It is really perfect and big thanks.

    So, the flags -

These are for the Romanian faction :

    1) for diplomacy

    2) for the army

And this is for Moldavia - both Army and diplomacy

I suppose by diplomacy you mean all the flags the faction uses (except army).

Right . My fault. I could have been more specific. I hope the flags are all right. Cheers.

Attached is the pack with flags which you can merge it with your pack. If you test it as it is, it's a movie pack so you do not need to add any mod command in user script.

Excellent flags! +rep for sure. Sotericus, quick question. Isn't the faction going to be called Wallachia? (In your post you mentioned Romania)

I think that Greece should also be portrayed as faction, allied with Moldavia and at war with the Turks.

Happy Easter to all of you guys. I'm back now and ready for some testing.@ Mircea, I don't really get you with Filliki Eteria - if you suggest having it as an Moldavian Army (with their insignia and everything), but made of units that cannot be recruited later in the game - this can be done. However, a Filliki Eteria as a distinct faction will end in a CTD. A double controlled army is not possible either. I would go for another option now that we have the missions - a mission called Filliki Eteria - declare war on Ottomans and you get some special units which will be the Filliki Eteria .

Until now I've added the flags Husserl made for the mod. I've added some pictures for the Moldavian faction too on the first page. I will need some suggestions of units for the Filiki Eteria (as it is) as well as some ideas about which abilities the Ieros Lochos should have - as you cannot recruit it in the game it should have something to distinguish it. I plan to start working on Carbonaria soon, so some insights on it will be appreciated. Cheers.

Oh man i love that Eteria unit, looks so much like the real thing. Great work with the limited resources from NTW! Looking forward to see the Carbonaria!

I'm really glad you like it, Wallachian.

I will post this week end some other Moldavian units. I've already made Naples playable. But we need to decide whether Carboneria will be a faction in its own right, or only an army in Naples. Or something else ... like, say, reward units for a Naples mission. I will need some in-depth insights on the historical situation of the Carbonari revolution (or uprising ?!). And, of course any info of the Neapolitan army in late 18th - early 19th century will be highly appreciated - some pics with info, especially.

Last, but not least, I'm working on a Tudor din Vladimiri unit as a historical general. I've already made it available in the battles, but I have some problems in making him recruitable in the campaign. I'll keep you up-to-date on that one, too.

We could make different armed-citizenry units for Moldavia and Wallachia - as say -regular armed-citizenry (mob) and elite (which will be spawned only in big cities). If you have some ideas on this one too, it will be nice.

    Cheers,

Hmm i would not suggest the Carbonari as a separate faction, just as i wouldn't suggest the Eteria as a separate faction. For Carbonari maybe you can set a mission, for example the Naples faction starts as an absolute monarchy so you will need to start a revolution to change the government type to either constitutional monarchy or republic. When the revolution starts the Carbonari army spawns. If this is possible. I can't remember if in the game you could chose which faction to support.

Nice pics, Wallachian, we really needed this, indeed. You can't choose what faction to support, but you can basically generate a mission which will spawn a number pf units if, say, you declare war on Austria. About the picture with the Sicilian Cavalry - am I wrong or the dragoon on right actually holds a musket with a bayonnet in his hand? Awkward.
