That is why you have first to make the manually changes and leave last hybrid.

    hey. good news here.

Yesterday I made Naples a minor and played for a while and I've managed to pass over the 3 years CTD. So this was the issue... Thanks a lot Husserl for your help. I might keep Naples and finally put the submod to a rest. I really want to change the intro movie but apparently the mod didn't work (I've changed the files to bik and renamed them after the original ones, then created a movie pack and added the line in userscript. then... nothing). I might just keep trying. I'll do some more testing this week and the next days I'll finally upload some pics.

    Cheers,

    S.

So finally I am able to present you something.

Before proceeding to any presentation I want to make it clear that I am a very inexperienced modder (a Sunday afternoon one to be more specific) and this is the reason why I tried developing my ideas by using as a starting point the Balkanmod. So all the credits for the huge part of the work (such as, say, making playable Wallachia and all the other factions) go to the Balkan Mod team along with my sincere thanks for making this great mod. So please consider this as a kind of submod or a scenario, if you please. All help is welcomed and if you want to join me in order to further this project, you are kindly awaited.

First of all - the World.

The National Revolutions (1821-1859) takes place in the post-Vienna Congress of 1815 world. Until now I've tried to reproduce as historically accurate as possible this period of time at the level of diplomatic relations and to that of sovereignty.

For a brief comparaison take a look at this

Now, let's take a look at the Great Powers status in this submod.

Austria (one of the winners of the Vienna Congress)

    Russia

    Great Britain

    Prussia (no major changes)

... and last, but not least, France, which was brought back to its 1793 borders.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

(small comment, as I had some problems with Naples, for the time I left the faction unmodified - hopefully I'll soon assign Naples to Sicily in order to have the Kingdom of Two Sicilies.

And is anyone was a big fan of the "Tyrant", you won't miss him too much as he was replaced by other, of another kind waiting for the July revolution...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

(comment - I haven't changed the French flag since the White royalist one has been changed after the 1830 revolution with the known RWB one).

And let's take a look at the minor powers (all of them are neutral except Naples).

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

So that's all for the time. I'll be back with more previews as the testing advances. And since is 1st of December I would add a small gift for my co-nationals in order to get into the feeling of the mod.

    Thanks Basileos,

However I've just found out some problems in startpos.esf and hopefully I could address the issue.

Do somebody know where I may find a NTW save game with whole Europe? (I mean with whole Europe Conquered, or at least with Sicily or Naples) I need to disband the Naples' army and in order to do this I have to see it.

And also if somebody is interested in helping me in doing this submod, please do so. Any helping hand is needed.

    Cheers,

    S.

Attached is the Line of Sight for Naples. Add it to region and delete the existing empty one.

Thanks a lot Husserl. This comes very handy. I approach finishing editing the campaign. However I did it the hard way, that is I made all changes using the hybrid method. As far as now it seems to work. The Naples things wasn't the only issue - KOI, too and also Hannover and Piemont - which still had French troops inside . But, now everything is clean. Hope to come to an end before Christmas with everything.

    Cheers and thanks once more.

    Hey Sotericus,
Just want to say I love the mod you are working on! I've always hoped someone would do something like this. I lack the skills myself, you see. I'm looking forward to your release!

Excellent start! Is that Line Infantry just from the vanilla game?

Thx, Wallachian. Yes and no. I mean is from the Spanish campaign. And it was originally the Portuguese line infantry. I've just changed the colors.

Hi everyone. Just a quick note about a problem that occurred this week. Once I've modified the unit info and unit icons for 2 units I've noticed that the loading screens in my mod aren't ... loaded anymore and moreover the custom faction flags (Serbia,Moldavia) on the campaign map and in battles vanished (I mean they were replaced by Catalonia, Crimean Khanate's flags etc.). I've checked several time the contains of my mod and everything is still there, but somehow isn't loaded anymore in the game. Do you have any idea of how to deal with that? Thanks a lot.

    Cheers,

Just found out that I saved the new file as a "release" and not a "mod". This can be so frustrating ... But everything works properly now.

The Flag of Hannofer is wrong, in one of your screenshots it is blue with a red cross inside, but it had to be something like this:

    Dear all,

Thanks a lot for your interest in this mod and for your useful comments. Mircea, you're now officially a part of the team . I have some good news. After some hours of testing and some modifications, the structure is working. I mean you can play the campaign with a small country such as Wallachia and still hope to win - I conquered Vienna two days ago . But, still it will be quite challenging even on normal. Now I think that is time to talk about some recruiting. Is someone willing to help? We would need for sure somebody with scripting skills and definitely some skinning work would help. It would also be great if I could have a feedback for you for which nations you would like to have in the mod apart Wallachia - still, please remember that the time setting is 1821-1859.

    Cheers,

    S.

Right you are. For the moment I'm just focusing on developing several factions. I really hope that one day we could address all these issues. Thx for the comment, it's noted.

Keep up the good work! +rep

If you make Germany I think I can make a mission for capturing some regions (e.g. prussians or french) and then the small german factions join Germany as a reward. Or we can make them joining Germany one by one without mission but in certain turns.
