Naploeon TW Freezing on Title

I've gotten a new laptop, and have been trying to play Napoleon Total War as well as Empire Total War. But when I try to run either Empire or Napoleon on the title screen with all the copyrights and what have you freezes. Is there a reason for this? I've gone to the Can You Run It? site and it says I should beable to play these games.

Here are my laptop's specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition
Processor- Intel Pentium Processor P6100
Graphics Card- Intel HD Graphics
Memory- 3 GB DDR3 Memory
RAM- 2.7GB RAM
CPU Speed: 2.00 GHz performance rated at 3.00 GHz

Anything else you need just tell me, really want to play these games on my laptop.

Do you have your permissions set for Steam, Napoleon, and Empire to pass through your firewall and any other security level?
Are you logged in as Admin?
Have you installed directx 9.0c, C++ 2005 SP1, and .Net 4?
Have you defragged your harddrive after all this installing?

Yes to everything except the DeFrag, which i can do right now.

I have the exact same laptop and I have the same problem. and I have the same specs except I have 3.68 RAM and it freezes on the same screen.

Did you do post #2?

Apart from not being able to play you're gonna be in for a disappointment in terms of performance, since Intel HD graphics are really bad for gaming.

i have the same problem with NTW but the difference is that at first the game ran smoothly for me..i played 20 hours(both MP and SP) but when i quite the game last time..i couldnt start the game again cuz it freezes at the title!

Have you tried verifying your game cache in case something got corrupted?
