    i want to find some textures etc, from broken crescent. But the battle model txt is all clumped and hard to read, is there a tool that would make it more organised like TATW?

    Only 2.5 or 2.6 32bit work. You have to uninstall any newer versions for it to work.

    Won't work. It's too new for Medieval2/Empire. It's already been tried.

    I forget what part in the the .bat file you have to edit in IDLE to inlude all faction names as they are in the descr_sm_factions.txt. Try that.

    Can 't find where to put the factions, I'm going to leave this anyway. I'll just make do with how it is at the moment, its not that difficult to read.
    Thank you for your assistance guys.

    I described the method of adding factions to the checker here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...86#post8312586

    Gigantus he is asking for the format maker not the checker for the modeldb file.
    And it seems the BC modeldb which is unformatted can't be formatted with the formatmodeldb make i gave him above.

    The formatter only works with original modeldb files. I even had problems with the original americas modeldb file.

    @kaiser1993
    Can you upload the battlemodel.modeldb file in question? Sometimes a little formatting of the first lines\part helps to unravel the whole lot.

    I will give it a try. Next time please compress the file (WinZip, WinRAR, 7z) and then attach it here directly, saves a lot of running around in other websites.

    Edit:
    OK, this is weird. I ran the converter and ended up with the attached file. If you open it with notepad you will get the normal mess. If you open it with Wordpad (not recommended) you will get the nice formatted version.

    You can edit it safely AND have the formatted view with Notepad++, hope that helps.

    .

    PS - did you notice the size difference between your upload and the compressed attachment?
