running BI

Everytime I have tried to start a campaign using BI it just loads a white and black screen. I can start one with Alex or normal RTW though. Any idea what causes this?

I am using steam btw.

i also got this crash, i installed spqr 8.0 and started up the bi version and the screen went black and after about 30 sec, it showed the windows error report. however when i tried the rtw version, it started up normally and worked for me. afaik it could have been designed for the rtw version because maybe the bi and alex had too much coding involved (im guessing), and could be so that the player gets some kind of break from the already difficult campaign
