    Default Would Saruman have...

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am not in any way suggesting that this be added into this mod, as I think it would ruin the game (and trash the lore as well).

Lets say that Saruman decided to build up more in Isengard before attacking Rohan. We know he had Middle Earth's equivalent of gunpowder to build mines like the ones used at Helm's Deep. But do you think it would have ever dawned on him that he could use this substance for more? Would he ever have made a crude hand-held gun for his Uruks?

Try to remember when stating your opinion that this topic is theoretical.

Im fairly sure he would have done but it would have taken him 50-100years thinking about how long it took for this to happen in the real world, and shortening that length of time because saruman has magic.

SEconded. It'd save some fiddling around with the proper thickness and stuff of gun barrels, but it would still take long enough to get Sauron's ass kicked before he had anything which doesnt go BOOM in your hands, methinks
I salute those who took the Hungarian Phrasebook simply because of the quote!

I don't think he cares about his Uruk or orcs...

I think the more likely alternative would be him downsizing the bombs to get grenades for his Uruks.

He would be able to get grenades in time, probably this is indeed the most logical option.

Generic Terrorists, not necessarily "Islamists" (who are not Muslim but traitors IMO) although I know they use it very often.
1- The hindu Tamil Tigers terrorists (Sri Lanka) invented bomb strapping
2- Remember that Kamikaze is a japanese word (means Gods Wind)

Now about that topic: lore-wise, Saruman has mines & sappers = bombs. Making grenades seems very difficult. It took about 200 years IRH. For fun, Isengard could develop some sort of flamethrowers. Saruman has the tech for that + there's already a Med2 Kg unit to convert = the Byzantine roster of Kg Crusades. They throw "greek fire".

In pure theory, mines are not exactly complex devices, you put a lot of gunpowder in one place and then an idiot Uruk blows it and itself to pieces.

Guns on the other hand are very complex, but in theory he could think up a crude cannon.

But IMHO it would ruin the Tolkien feel.

Well I guess Saruman would care about his uruks/orcs, due to if he looses all of them, he is lost.

10 000 uruks, not even counting orks...
Even if he kills 3000 of his followers when he's experimenting, it still isn't any problem.
