Default The AI takes time to think

I would like to start off by saying my computer is not a piece of junk. Now that it's been said I don't want any one telling me my problem is my computer.

What's the deal with the AI time period? I build my armies, build my structures, make all my moves and hit "ENDTURN". I then sit in my chair waiting, what seems like an eternity, for all the other factions to make their moves.

This does not happen in Vanilla or any other mod I've played. But for some reason it happens in RTR. It really bugs me too. This mod is the best mod on the market, save this one annoying feature.

What is the AI doing? Writing a broadway musical?

As the years go by, the AI will take longer in their turns because like you, their trying to build an Empire. It shouldn't take too long though. I'm already at the year 127 B.C. and the AI turn lasts for 15 - 20 seconds.

Are you using 6.0 or a later version? If memory serves, 6.0 had a bug where the AI takes its sweet time to finish its turn. Update to 6.3 and it should be fixed.

If that's not the problem, then I'm not sure what it is.

one other thing you could do is A) see what else is running in the background (firewall etc.) and turn it off to free up processing power and ram and B) defragmentation of harddrive
Those two always help speed up computer performance (provided there is already stuff running in the background and your computer is fragemented )
Given any number of random, even contradictory metaphysical postulates, a justification, however absurd, can be logically developed.

All great ideas. I've yet to download 6.3! I hope that does it.

    Thanks!

Also, make sure you're not following enemy movements, when you can see a lot of enemies, this takes a long time.
