I did a faction request for a Youtube. I just happened to luckily face a subscriber of mine as well, whom played as France.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
My strategy mainly: Avoid large scale fights, only attack units you believe you can beat, and use artillery to draw an opponent into your great light Infantry.
so what kind of art should i use ?
so basically do a kite strategy on one flank and be agressive on another
use the hammer tactic with portugal. i've used them in 3 v 3 and 4 v 4 games and there light is devastating..
Just spam cav![]()
so far i have won all battles by using Portugal
i split them and i put my cannons in the middle and do a kite strategy and my other flank i play aggressive
it seems to work since my art is fairly safe agaisnt cav if put in the middle
yeah thanks for the help
oh i faced you before in a 2vs2 battle you had the ottomans and your partner too
i had russia and he had france we got destroyed
Ports line is above average but has low moral and with no guard units you will need a good gen.I skimp on cav when i use them and just use 3 or 4 to protect the rear of my flanks. You can stack your lights on one flank like trip said and as long as you are aggressive with your hammer flank you will do well the only problem with this is unlike prussia you have no guard or lancers on your other flank which means it will be very hard to defend against a aggressive push on that flank.I like to have 5 lights and i will disperse them depending on what formation my opponent has but i will also have at least 10 line which means i will have a line advantage most of the time, because i also have 5 of the best lights in the game i will not have to worry about the opponents lights at all.now because you have a above average line and good moral with your gen its simply a matter of holding your opponents line the best you can with your lights and swamping either of your opponents flank with the extra line you will have,so its very much the case of spreading out and attacking certain areas of your opponents formation where you can out number them.
Portugal are amazing!!
They have the best light infantry yes
They also have the second best normal infantry which are seoncd only to british ones. Ther cav is bad but your skirms and line can make up for that.

Portugal is awesome,I wanna learn it
A good build i know is
10 line
5 cazadores
4 cav
1 militia
Put your general in an infantry unit and give that unit some xp.
Put the militia behind your cazadores so that any over head shots will hit them and not your line.
Sometimes it is best to charge in the militia if u are about to attack with your infantry and hit the enemy with your bad cav. This will disorganise the lines and put them in square which will allow you to get the first proper volley from infantry off which should give u a huge advantage.
Any probs just say and i will help as best i can
