Needless to say I can't wait for 3.0 (A Christmas release would be great but we don't know how much work you still have to do).
In the meantime i have installed the new EDU and it is a good improvement.
Just some questions:
I) Wouldn't be the case to reduce units morale? Values over 30 are common and even low level units pratically never rout in any condition.
Elite units always fight to the last man even when exausted encircled and with their commander killed.
This reduce greatly the value of tactical manouvers and even the winner side takes enormous losses regardless of what it does.
II) Is it possible to force the AI not to always have its units running? Apart for the unnecessary fatigue
they arrive to contact in a minute or less. This reduce the importance of archers and mounted skirmishers.
III) As a consequence I had to reduce greatly the terrain movement modifiers to have more slow paced
battles. Would it be right to implement this as a standard?
IV) Infantry javelineers are pratically useless due to the incredibly slow reloading time. They cannot skirmish even against heavy infantry,
they are decimated by arrows when placed just behind the line and when placed far behind they have hardly the time to get in position
and launch a single volleybefore the line units have each other destroyed in melee. Is it possible to increase their rate of fire anyway?
V) It is possible to make archer experience to increase missile attack instead of melee attack (1 each 3 levels)
and infantry/cavalry experience to increase also defence ability?
VI) Often cavalry doesn't charge regardless of the right facing or distance. It is possible to do something about this?
These are not issues of Broken Crescent but of vanilla M2TW, anyway a resolution of them could make B.C. 3.0 even better![]()
(by the way have you ever thought to switch to Kingdoms?)
Good work with your masterpiece!
