Icon4 I need help with DB Editor? PLEASE!!!!

    Hi all,
I need help with the empire total war DB Editor. I've made my own mods using this tool, but I've come to a problem. I downloaded all the elite unit packs for the game and not all of the units appear in DB Editor. Does anyone know what pack their in? Also does anyone know how to edit the starting units for the grand Campaign?

I will try to help you:

In my ETW, list of units is held inside patch.pack ( depends which version of ETW you have ).

All the settings from the start of Grand Campaign ( like starting gold, etc ) are held in startpos.esf.

You will need a ESF Editor from TWCenter to edit those things.

If you purchased new units you should have new pack files maybe.

Go and look for the in your data folder.

Well I noticed when starting up DB Editor it seems to only have the option to load patch4 & patch5 pack files, but in the Empire Total War Data folder there's also Patch0 to Patch3 packs. I tried adding them to DB Editor but it didn't seem to detect them. How can I edit these pack files with DB Editor? Would I need to use the Pack File Manager?

I have the same problem - DB Editor 1.8 recognize only patch.pack file from my data folder and no other pack files like models.pack, etc.

I recommend to use Pack File Manager 1.13 - it opens ALL pack files that you load to it and it is easy to use.

You could either edit existing pack files or create a new one as a mod pack with all the changes needed.

    I hope this help!

Feel free to ask i you have additional questions, ok?
