INSTALLATION :

1 - Make a backup of the original video file "dump0000"
2 - Install the new file dump0000 in :
C: \ Programmes \ Activision \ Rome - Total War \ data \ menu
or
C: \ Program Files \ The Creative Assembly \ Rome - Total War \ data \ menu

IMPORTANT: To view the video in the game, it is imperative to remove the command -nm in the launcher !

naxzull, are you using a recent version of RS?
By the look of your screenshot, it looks like it is rather old.
Because there might be a problem with the video not working, if someone encounter this error, please tell me.

I have the normal version (not SVN) of RSII.

1 - Can you watch the original video during the game?
2 - Can you watch my video with WMP for example?

Otherwise, it is possible that your PC does not know the codec "m1v" (Mpeg1) ... in this case, the codec-pack K-lite is useful.

It is not I that have a problem, it's just that I disabled the video in the menu screen, so it is possible it may not work.
But if you have a recent version then it should be ok.

I have replaced the original movie, removed the console command and the background is the same in the menu.... I can open it with WMP and l have K-lite codecs.

Ok, that's probably the problem I was talking about.
To fix it, go to the folder of the faction you want to play. As each menu is different, you'll have to do it for each one you want this menu.
You'll have to find the Rome.lnt file. Though it doesn't like it, it is text-like file, so open it with the notepad.
Search for dump0001, and change the one to a 0. Save, and it should be working.
If that is indeed the problem, I'll provide those modified files myself.

Can't you make one for the 0-turn campaign?

Just copy the movie in ...\Rome - Total War\Play_One_Turn\data\menu and edit Rome.lnt. Or just rename the video to Dump0001.m1v
