If we won't make it to be 3.0 until then, we will release some other well prepared (hopefully ) version. Who knows, maybe it will be modified BC2.02 for Kingdoms.

So, that way or another, you can expect something interesting.

Broken Crescent 2.02 is already the best game in all Medieval and still in all Total War series (except perhaps Medieval I, the old medieval that I was still playing occasionally till a year ago or so). A couple of weeks ago I decided to give a shot on Makuria, never played with before and I'm definitely loving the campaign Dreaming now about storming Baghdad with my tribal sudanese warbands and Dembus and kidnapping all tha beaut... what was I saying?

Ah yeah the problem with Broken Crescent is that it's already THE GAME and creating more units, more textures, more factions and more everything is not going to make it a lot better, just more complicated. For instance playing as Jerusalem gives you access to something like 30 units. Played with Jerusalem just once and I used ALMOST exclusively 10 units or so, my basic combo basically consisting on Sergeant spearmen and Turcopoles.

So, for me, BC 3.0 will be great but too many changes could actually worsening the game and I'm afraid of stability & bugs or something like too much imbalance (it's already too complicated to beat the best Abbasid and Omani troops with Sudanese warbands). I hate the mods that causes CTD when you have spent 30 hours of your life gaming and with BC 2.02 I have rarely got a CTD.

Sorry bud, with these threads you always hit a brick wall. I've been following BC for years and I've learned to not to keep my hopes up. They deliver when...(you can guess how the rest goes)

Modding is hard work and we appreciate it, along with the courtesy and generally helpful vibe you guys have in here (which is more than I can say for all the mods in this community).
