    Default Units arent throwing their weapons....

    Im playing Rome Total Realism Platinum Edition.

    This is really annoying me. When i put my principe or skirmishers on autofire, and enable guardmode, they dont throw their weapons in front of an enemy. They will repeatedly make the throwing motion with their arms, and it says that they're firing missiles on their unit cards. Yet, nothing goes flying into the air, and nothing dies. Sometimes my principe wont even make the throwing motion. They'll stand in front of a charging enemy, autofire on, and do nothing. Even if I manually make them throw their pila, they wont do anything.

    Any help?

    EDIT: They also don't run out of ammunition, the blue bar stays full all throughout combat

    Do you have the arcade mode turned on? I can't think of another reason.

    What graphics settings? low settings don't shwo many thigns.

    Not running out of ammo odds are arcade mode.

    I've never changed it but there is this setting inthe preferences.txt that could allow unlimited ammunition (if it was changed to FALSE):

    LIMITED_AMMO:TRUE

    Hmm, im playing on the lowest graphics settings, but normally i see the airborne missiles clearly.
    I am not playing on arcade mode. Also, I do not have this problem with ALL of the missile units in my army, only some. This is the first time I've had this problem. My slingers throw their rocks just fine




    EDIT: i am not using unlimited ammo

    EDIT: I fought the battle again, and my units began throwing their missiles AFTER the enemy was routing, and after an entire battle of arm-thrusting and pretend-throwing.

    Do you have all of the patches for it installed? I have never heard of this before. Perhaps you should ask in the rtr PE mod forums

    I've seen similar stuff happen in a variety of other mods. But only for the one volley. If the target moves out of range then the throwing animation occurs and nothing is thrown and ammunition doesn't subtract. It might have been a similar occurence, except well they were trying to shooting a unit that was getting up close and nasty.

    Once in meele however I find that if a unit is still firing or attempting to fire. They get cut down quite quickly so if they do decide to sit there with the firing icon. It's normally a good idea to get them out of that mode ASAP.

    But thats a strange bug. Like I said I've only seen it when a unit moves out of range. (Often a cav unit from a Roman infantry)
