Re Unwanted auto updates

Can anyone help me please? I have the mods that I wish to play installed and running perfectly I don’t want them messed up by any patch CA may release in the future. I go into properties on steam for Napoleon and chose the setting “Do not automatically update this game” but it just keeps resetting to “ Automatically update this game” Can anyone give me advice on how to stop steam doing anything that will mess up my mods at a future date. Thanks !

1. Login and set it for "offline mode" until the DRM requires a connection.
2. Contact Steam support for them overriding your preferences and contact Sega support about them not holding.

Beyond that, it's out of our hands.
