Default Prussia gets a year more?

    Hi there.
Is it just me being senile, or slow, but is there a reason as to why the Prussians gets an entire extra year to complete a coalition campaign (late December 1813), compared to the other three coalition nations (late December 1812) ?

Its because after failure of the Russian campaign, most fighting continued in Prussia in 1813, and in 1814, it went back into France. So in 1813 Napoleon was all in Prussia, and the Russians, Prussians and Austrians were pushing him back. Also Napoleon had created a second Grande Armee, he left the remaining 12,000 soldiers from the 1812 campaign in the wilderness in East Prussia, and quickly escaped back to France to build a second Grande Armee and march it right back up to Prussia to fight the coalition. So thats why Prussia gets an extra year, incase Napoleon has taken Russia and everywhere else, you get an extra year to fight him.

The Battle of Nations (Leipzig) was in the same year, and Napoleon ran after it.

    Because Prussia sucks.
And gameplay wise Prussia is hard especially in harder difficulties (they can be attacked by all major factions) and the French can wreck their armies when they get more and more powerful if you don't interfer with them.

Prussia is a tough nation to play. It seems everybody wants a piece of Germany.

Prussia is easy as long as you join the coalition. By this I mean ally Russia and Austria early on. Now you can conquer the German states while noone bothers you. Then you can you can join the fight when the French are bogged down in Bavaria and fall in their flank either in Württemberg or via the Low Countries.

If you dont join then you may end up being attacked by everyone from all sides of course.
