Computer: i5, 4 gb, ati 5870 win 7 64bit swedish edition

Hi today i bought a copy of med2 gold edition at my local store here in Sweden.
So i start to install the game, first cd 1 and then much later cd 2, everything seems to work alright.

Ive downloaded the 1.5 uk gold patch and extract it and installed it too. After setup i can choose to see the readme file and also to start kingdoms. I tried starting kingdoms, and i get the following message:

I can choose to continue, and the launcer appers and i can actually choose if i wanna play med2 or one of the 4 campaigns. Is this right?

Medieval2 works fine, although it says 1.03 can that be right?

Kingdoms.exe is not standalone. Can you start one of the Kingdoms campaigns and not get that message?

Medieval2 is 1.03 for multiplayer. CA's version number system is confusing.

It looks like a very good computer. Did it come with Win7 installed?

Yes the numbers are indead very confusing hehe. Yes its a totally ok computer that should be allowed to handle this kinda old game hehe.

Yes Win7 was preinstalled when i got the computer.

About the what patch, i had a look at Segas own download site: http://help.sega.com/index.php?_m=do...loaditemid=215
and its confusing, and yes i can see an european patch, but it are not standing as "gold" it seems

For Sweden it's the European version of the patch isn't it?.

Patch versions for this game are a real pain to handle. The UK Gold version should work but just to be sure are you sure there isn't a Euro version of the Gold edition patch? You really need to lock down just what localization pack you have.

Also to be sure - you're not double-clicking the kingdoms.exe to launch Kingdoms are you? As irishron stated that .exe is not standalone and is meant to be accessed by the Kingdoms mods. You'll need to use the launcher to access those games or make shortcuts to the mods themselves. Good luck!
