Default The "high / low esteem" traits

    Hi all,

just wondering if anyone has ever actually managed to get the nickname "the Invincible" for any of their generals. It's the last level of the series of traits which begins with "High Esteem" and is awarded for successfully winning consequent battles.

Personally I've never seen any of my generals get anything above "High Esteem", and even that seems to disappear after just one or two turns of being stationed in a city to retrain troops. Just last night I had the same general win some eleven battles (clear victories, no heroics) over the span of ten turns and after the very last one, he finally received the "High Esteem" trait...which he lost the very next turn, due to his apparent 'inactivity' when I parked him in Axum to retrain troops.

I've only ever seen AI generals with the "Low Esteem" trait too, which is the first step of the negative version of the series.

Seems to me that the triggers are a little too demanding, though perhaps I'm missing something? Has anyone succeeded in getting higher levels of this trait?

if im reading that right then it takes 30 battles for the second level and 90 for the last
of course im not sure on that so someone else will have to clarify

on a side note, is there any way at all to get the imortal trait in xgm?

No, that trait is required for compatibility with the Alexander exe, but it's not used in XGM. The effect is that the character does not die of old age, which is fine for the Alexander expansion, but wouldn't be suitable for the campaigns in XGM.

Look like I set its threshold too high though. Perhap their threshold supposed to be half....

Dime, please reduces their threshold for me please.

Thanks for digging that up martin, I was at work and couldn't look up the file myself.

The threshold does look like a bit of a tall order - 90 battles with a single general would mean having to fight (and win) a battle every turn for 45 years, at which point he would be a minimum of 61 years old.

My suggestion would be for 5 - 15 - 25 as the thresholds.
