FoE Campaign Intro(Scripted First Turn)
Hello,
i just discovered and installed this modfication, my first impression is that looks very interesting.
i've got a question about the scripted campaign intro. At the first time i fought Pyrrhus my army was totally overrun by his cav, so i was encouraged to deal with him.
After two further tries i managed to get a decisive victory, but than something strange happened.
After a loss the script shows me a battle between the carthagians and another greek(?) army in sicily, but when i'm winning the first battle this scripted sequence did not show up.
Did i something false? Does the script hung up?
Greetings Eleanya.

The script behaves oddly under certain circumstances, like a defeat of Pyrrhos where he retreats in good order, even if it's only one unit. Usually it kicks in again in the second turn.

Pyrrhus died and his army was disbanded after the battle.
It was not his best decision to charge into my spearmen.
In the second turn also nothing happended.

Even if nothing happens in Sicily, it's not that big of a deal. Carthage will attack the Free army anyway - same effect. As long as you've got the 4 turns per year script running, that means it's okay.

Re: FoE Campaign Intro(Scripted First Turn)
Arkaeyn is correct. The script throws a bit of a wobbly when Pyrrhos loses the opening battle because, frankly, I don't think that we expected anyone to be able to win it.
However, over time, and many tries, more and more people are finding a way to crack that tough nut, therefore, the script is being amended for RTRVII to allow it to cope with that scenario.
Until then, Arkaeyn is also correct in saying that as long as you can get past the first couple of turns, then I shouldn't worry too much about what is happening in Sicily, it will be a good few years before you are able to pursue any military adventures down there.
