    Default Save games have disappeared.

I was playing this morning and had about 10 saved games. I come to play it this afternoon and there are no saved games, not in the game or on my hard drive. I have checked the folders where the saves should be and they are empty. Anyone know what is going on?

And you didn't do anything between "this morning" and "this afternoon"?

Ah! the only thing I changed was to switch off my UAC after reading here, it was best to do so if I was to avoid crashing.
So, was it this that moved my save games?

Your save games were never moved. Win 7 placed them in the AppFolder with UAC turned on. When you turned UAC off it could not located the save games. I have never had any problems with UAC, either with installing or playing any mods. You can now move the save games from the AppFolder to the save games folder for TATW and resume where you left off.

This is really strange, I have found my saves, they had been moved to \AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\saves.
I put them back in my Third age save folder and all is working fine again now.
Why is it that windows 7 moves your files without your permission, I am not sure I am happy it doing this.
