Other than WWII, Napoleonic Wars, English Civil War, American Revolution, the punic wars, alexander's wars for me it would have to be the American Civil War my number one.

Otherwise, probably the Seven Years War, World War I, and the Peloponnesian War.
Pretty much any way war in the 18th and early 19th century. Though I'm talking purely from a ETW/NTW perspective because war in reality is a great tragedy more than anything.

Yes, if only you'd do something more valuable with your 1658-1720 than try to defeat us. Seriously though, you can blame Christian V for that. Neither Sweden nor one of the few people in the Danish court who appears to have had a brain like Peder Griffenfeld wanted war between them. We were just sitting there improving our lego house and wishing that our areas of the yard stay in peace and then some annoying brat comes and tries to wreck our lego! We tried to leave you alone to improve your lego construct but noooo, little Denmark wanted Sweden's shiny lego and thought he could beat us up, should've gone for the Germans with us instead
Internationally, I'm interested in what can be summed up as the Early Modern Era. I find the Napoleonic Age and onward completely uninteresting for a variety of reasons, which can be summed up as things got less exciting. I used to be interested in the errr.. what do you call it again... Antique Era? you know, Second Punic War and that stuff. But now I've moved on, although I would much rather read about times preceding the EME than those after it.
My favourite wars involving my country would have to be the Deluge & Time of Troubles. Very interesting events. Sweden was a vulture in both wars, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth achieved more or less nothing in either (though you could count surviving as an achievement in the Deluge) and Russia went from being PLC's favourite b!tch to more than returning the favour.
The Great Northern War gets an honorable mention for simultaneously being the shining star and rotten carcass of Swedish war efforts, Sweden's great titanic struggle to maintain what had been won. Sweden succeeded in keeping everything it had gained from Denmark-Norway up to today. Considering the odds, this in itself was an achievement. But Sweden also lost everything it had gained in the east from the 16th-17th centuries, along with a small piece of 12th century-aquired Finland. But the most important loss was the loss of competence in the country by this time caused by this war, Sweden joined the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth as sick man of north-eastern Europe.
Napoleonic Wars, the 100-year War, WW II, Greek/Roman/Egyptian Wars and the American Independence War, made a report about it witch is 72 pages.

The Star Wars!
Seriously, First World War, with an exception to the Western front after trench warfare had set in, that was barely war...
P.S. I don't like the title to this thread, though I can't think of another one.

The obvious WW2, Napoleonic Wars but above all the Anglo Dutch Wars.

Any war that would force the americans to spell correctly.
Anyway I would have to say my favourite war would be either the Seven Years War(Seventh World War) or the Napoleonic Wars(Ninth World War(after the French Revolutionary Wars).

The Cold War.
You guys remember how awesome it was? Totally the best war ever.
The trouble with us Americans is that we have very few neighbors to color our experience in war. You British have fought many types of people and have achieved a high sense of honor because of that. Americans labor with this idea, and attempt to obtain more flavor in our war experience. Pearl Harbor was the beginning of our great diversity in battling different peoples. A lot of our behavior can be explained with this. This may just be a rumor, however.
Actually, I'm kind of put off by the idea that I would have a favorite war, considering it is not glamorous or humorous in any way.
