Changing weapons for units

I want to know how to change some units weapons. For example, how to make dismounted dale horseguard? I can make them dismounted, but they have spears. How to change weapon to swords or something else? Pls help

I am also trying to change weapons on units. What I learned is that you have to have a program called Milkshape and edit what the unit holds there. You might get a lot more help if you posted a thread in the mod workshop section.
