It came to my mind after I was playing as the Germans when suddenly the Gauls came out of nowhere and attacked a small stack of my Spear Warbands (4 warbands vs 6 warbands + 2 hunters + general) and because I was tired, I was just clicking "Attack" without any strategy on the Gauls.
Guess who won? I guess my computer was tired too...

    Well what is yours?

playing roma surrectum.. got attacked by 3 full stack of gaullic armies over 3k each.. I had 1 stack with 9 cohorts of the Macedonian legions,Silver xp and gold sword and shield upgrades, 3 auxilia swordsmen same upgrades.. 3 auxiliary archers, 4 legionary cavalry same upgrades, and a 7star general.. I numbered about less than 2,000 men or about that amount.. Emerged victorious but at a cost of 90% of my cavalry forces

I was playing RS1 as the Armenians, and had tons of money so I decided to just bribe all the enemy units I can(I was playing against the Seleucids). I bribed a unit of 8 Cataphracts(not an army made up of 8 cataphract units, but one unit that was reduced to only 8 soldiers), and noticed that only after I was attacked by a seleucid army of several hundred men strong.
I won. and I didn't even lose a single man.

I sent a nephew on a suicide mission into Gaul in order to kill the enemy king, as my nephew was a terrible governor and I had too many family members. I picked up four units of Barbarian Mercenaries, and then proceeded to kill upwards of 3000 gauls, 3-4 family members, and finally the Gallic king over the course of 10 turns. Gaul was littered with Heroic Victory markers after I finally had to withdraw to Massilia in order to replenish my troops.

being caught out of formation when my opponent launched 2 companions and 2 light lancers against my 1 longshield and 2 sacred band cav units. my guys got surrounded, but amazingly his light lancers routed, then he panicked and tried to pull his companions out, and they routed too.

On BI killed a full horde containing of 1270 men(WRE) with only 17 men of my army lost and 19 men of the AI(Alemani) remaining. All thanks to a simple, stupid strategy.

I can think of two examples. In BI playing as the Saxons, I held off a siege of 3 full stacks of Frankish troops with some archers, levy spearmen, and normal spearman. In Medieval II playing as the English I held off a siege from a full stack of French including heavy cavalry, knights, sergeant spearmen, crossbowmen, 2 ballista and a catapult with 3 units of knights, 2 units of peasant archers and my general.
