Game Black Screens When I Attack!

So, I have downloaded and installed 2.1, but even with 2.1 my game black screen freezes when I manually engage an enemy on the campaign map. The farthest it has gotten to was *Deploy*, and when I clicked it, boom! Black sreen with spinning ring. PLEASE dont tell me I have to Reinstall ANYTHING!Thats 4 hours NO ONE should have to go through! HALP!

Welcome to the forum, Leeroy Jenkins!
A lot of people having this problem (including me), and seems there are some solutions, but they arent working for anyone.
First, you should run the game as admin.
Second, here is a little solution, helps some people:

 
In M2tw/mods/third_age
Open tatw.cfg, and put this line in it. 
 
[io]
file_first = true
disable_file_cache = true

I dont know anymore solutions at the moment, check some other threads, maybe somewhere its solved.

Thanks! I will try it and see. I've noticed that I can do some skirmishes army vs army but when I attack a settlement it crashes, when I attack a really big force it crashes. Also when I try to set settelment type im custom game it crashes >.<

Nope, as Rhun tried to attack a Dale Army then blackscreened, aslo cant run as Admin....Windows XP...RAWRZ! >:O BTW I have searched the forum for 4+hours and nothing has helped...I am about to give up on TATW

Any other ideas that might help? I dont mind the Cities CTD but just all around every battle? No way I need suggestions!

Note: This may be a problem. My M2TW is on CD but my Kingdoms is from D2D(Direct2Drive)....problemo?

Got it to work, just had to reinstall everything! !
