Expansion Packs

Even though I loved NTW, I don't think I'm the first to say that the Peninsula Campaign was a little disappointing. It wasn't bad, it just didn't feel like a true expansion pack of the mold of Kingdoms or Barbarian Invasion. Granted, it was better than Warpath, but it wasn't amazing. Now with Shogun II coming out (Something I must say I am disappointed in), I highly doubt that there will be another expansion pack. But as we now sit at our desks without the practical concerns CA faces, sipping a glass of Diet Coke (Or perhaps something stronger), let's examine this question: If you could create another expansion pack for Napoleon Total war, what would it be?

there wasnt really much to expand the game on in keeping with the games theme. mapoleon might as well be classified as an expansion to empire in this sense

FOr those wondering, the 1st Coalition is the Wars during the French Revolution

Any campaigns that the French were outnumbered in it (1813-15) should be fun and challenging.

No, its already too easy to crush the French AI in the Coalition campaigns by around 1806. Outnumbering it, such a campaign is an insult to any decent player.

Id buy an indepth 100 days expansion Campaign anytime !

Napoleons 1809 campaign on the Danube would also be a very interesting one!

I really hope if CA are abandoning NTW this early on (it wouldnt surprise me) then they should provide us with some tools, if not modding tools, then Map/unit/scenario editors to create our own. I would even pay for these as DLC (except for the unit editor which was promised with the release of the game). However, realising how hurrendously loyal TW customers have been treated since Empire , i know these are vain hopes.

I selected 'Other' because the next release for NTW should be the uniform editor and mod tools.

A campaign for the revolutionary era, 1792-179x, would be much interesting. Valmy battle, Austria and Prussia attacking France who does not have a professional army already.

I personally went with Napoleon's defense of Germany. He was outnumbered, his army was of lesser quality but yet he had the opportunity to strike decisive blows. It would be the one that provides you with great 'What if' opportunities. The 100 Days Campaign would be really good as well, however for similar reasons.

^With exactly the same reasons above, yet in more exacerbated conditions, I said his defense of France.

We should have those two (defense of Germany and France) be sold as the post 1812 package (where the campaign AI leaves off). They could entitled it something like: Napoleon total war: Napoleon's downfall or something.

I voted "other" as I would like to see an 1812 campaign which seemlessly morphs into the Wars of Liberation in Germany & then the Defence of France but with all of this linked simultaneously to the Peninsular War!

I'm split between the War of 1812, and the Russian campaign.

I don't think the 100 Days has enough going on in it to really justify an entire campaign.

Napoleon's invasion of Russia it was crucial point in Napoleonic Wars. During this campaign Napoleon lost too many soldiers, horses and cannons, and then his Empire must calopsed. Later it was only a question how long he can defended his weakened position in Europe.

This campaign could be interesting event and questions what if, and how can Napoleon win in Russia. Next question is, can he destroy British Empire later?
