    Default Need Info for modding

Hi, I want to add new units to SS 6.3 but unfortunately the limit is reached.

What I want to know is how to delete units form the mod to make new free slots and then I'll add new units

and Also, is there hint for moving units of BC to SS without too much problems

And finally, Does Point_blank has a text that explains how he evaluates stats for RC since the BC units don't have RC stats.

    Thank you in advance

There is already a guy on this what u are upto.
Anyways to free up slots check this post of mine in which i told that guy in detailed steps.

BC units are normal units just like the SS or any other mod so u won't have any problems with them.

And about the Point Blank thing i have no idea what u are talking about but whatever he did basically some stat manipulation for rebalancing them in SS6.3 can be done on these new units as well.

I mean on what Point Blank based his balancing stats for each of his level of units but anyway I can do it myself, just having a certain base working on it.

Thanks for this tread Ishan I'll try to work on it right away

I believe all you have to do is delete the units from the EDU, Delete them from recruit pool in EDB, Delete them from descr_strat, Also if any Of the slave army definitions use them (i forgot what that file is called) and maybe if the unit is referenced in the campaign script (although that wont actually cause a crash I dont think). Easiest way is (I dont know if windows search by default can do this) you can mine the files for the unit name and you will know everywhere you need to remove it.

I don't think it matters if there is residual elements remaining like, the dictionary entry in the text folder, or unit cards in the ui folder. Unless you are simply a stickler for a clean mod folder and dont like having un used resources laying around.
