    Default Playing independant Greeks/Gauls/other unplayable

Is there a way to make the inde gauls/greeks/etc playable in the imperial campaign? I tried putting them in playable on descr_strat, but that didn't work, maybe because I have vista.

It takes a fair bit of work to make those factions playable because they are set up to be controlled by the AI. Under Provincial Campaigns there are a bunch of Greek Cities campaigns, another Roman campaign, and two other Gallic campaigns.

save it to your desktop then move it manually to the folder
after doing that it will let you edit and save it directly to the xgm folder

To fix the immobile generals, go into descr_strat.txt, go down to the romans_brutii section, and remove the Immobile trait from the generals that have it. If you want the ICGS to have recruitable ships, you'll need to go into export_descr_buildings.txt.
    Meh.

Provincial campaigns in XGM are just variations on the Imperial Campaign; same map, but different starting conditions. It is possible to have entirely different maps. Vanilla RTW uses a map of Italy for the Prologue campaign, and would have used a map of Gaul for the planned Caesar in Gaul provincial campaign. Unfortunately the Caesar in Gaul campaign was cut before the initial release of the game.
