    Default Preferences file

    I cannot seem to fine the preferences.txt file (or the preferences folder for that matter) in my RTW directory. I have RTW: Gold Edition installed on Win. 7 32 bit. The main (default install) directory is C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War. The only folders in this directory are "bi" (for expansion), "data" and "Miles". The game plays fine and I have gone through a full 50 territory campaign with no problems. I have adjusted the in-game performance settings, but the preferences file has still not appeared. I have set my folder options to show all hidden folders, so it is not hidden. I have tried reinstalling, but that did not do anything. Can anyone help?!

    You have to go to options and change some grafik settings (like army size or whatever).
    This will create your preferences.txt file so that you'll be able to find it.
