"Please insert the correct CD"
I've been warned before so I won't mention any warez or piracy this time.
anyway, I have an ORIGINAL RTW copy. I have done a format the other day and this morning I was trying to install RTW, I did and all went great. but when I clicked RomeTW.exe(to run the game, obviously), the RTW logo was shown and then an error saying I need to insert the correct CD eventhough I did.
I've tried to insert the 2nd and the 3rd discs instead but it didn't work. I dont get it, the installtion worked, I can browse the disc's files and see the RTW icon when I insert the disc.
I've tried to copy it to another disc but I cant due to disc's protections...
what can I do to fix it? does this a known problems because its the first time it is happened to me...

I had the same problem last night with fresh installs of the retail versions of both RTW and BI. When I got BI for X-mas, I unistalled RTW, deleted the game directory, and removed all references to 'Rome - Total War' in the registry to make sure it was wiped clean. Re-installed RTW, patched it to 1.2, played the prolouge. Installed BI, installed patch 1.6 and played BI a bit. Went back and played RTW on a Julii campaign just to see what the new patch changed, but when I tried to play BI (using the BI disk) I got the same error, which was confusing since I had already played it with the same disk that came in the package and I installed with.
I unistalled both again and launched both games twice to make sure they launched and so far so good. I have yet to launch a campaign in either though, which I did do the first time through. I'll be majorly dissapointed if this happens again after playing a campaign in either.
