I wonder if the same method could e used for TGW-mod seeing as it can't locate NTW folder.

I have same problem, and I've searched the net for several days to finally come to register at this site. I'm not tech smart on these issues, but I do know that my regular Napoleon Total War is a sick puppy right now. I have no sound in battle first to all. This all started after downloading the newest MOD for NapoleonTW; I noticed that I could not play online games in the regular Napoleon TW. My game list came up in red as if I were looking at MOD games. Plus I got the incompatible signal from friends when I tried to host. Another anomaly is that when I go to practice land games, I can still see the maps from the Napoleon TW III. Certainly, I could use help with a friendlier process for getting me back to playing Napoleon TW; I am not too sure how use the tool Data Checker. I noticed a couple things with the Data Checker: the View User Script button shows seven NTW3 beta pack files. There are 21 files in the All Files Found and exact same listed on Standard CA. When I push the Make Me Vanilla I receive a message that there already Vanilla. Any help for tech-dead would be appreciated.

Its afraid of Mozilla Thunderbird. GREAT job
I got desktop.ini file in my data folder, is that ok?, is it a virus? if it is how do i get rid of it? i've gotten it too while making sound mods, i always have to check all folders of the mods to check it's not in it. It's listed in the Non-Standar Files.
One more thing, if i wanna reuse the mods that are kept in the folder (directory whatever you call it) created by the "Make me Vanilla" option. Can i just take 'em out that directory place them in the data folder and then delete the folder?

Desktop.ini is completely harmless and won't effect your game in any way.
And yes, you can just take out the files from the folder and put them back into your data folder.
this is cool mate but i don't need this for i am using mods which are in movie format![]()
