game crashes on display driver nvlddmkm

can anyone help please, i have vista windows have a good graphics card got a good nvidia card yet sometimes my game crashes on this error message display driver stopped working but has recovered nvlddmkm has anyone had this before and does anyone kow a solution to the problem its very frustrating. thanks

Try smaller unit sizes and turn off the eyecandy.

Use Speedfan to monitor your temps. Your card could be getting hot.

I had the same problem with a ATI 5850 card. It was solved by increasing the fan speed. So yes do as irshron said.

try downloading driver sweeper (a small program) and reinstall your video drivers.

NVLDDMKM.sys can be a hell of a lot of things. It can in the end even mean that you got bad video ram. Hmm what was it again with vista and that specific error, might be that you have to stop windows from automatically updating your videodrivers. Cant really remember but I had an error comparable.

Also SSAO and the tic box graphic settings (lower part of the screen) could be an issue.
