    Default *Photos Of Odd Things*

This is an area for you to post your screenshots of odd things that you have seen during your time playing this magnificent game.

So I will start with a wide variety of things that I have personally found odd. On another not I am sure some of these are bugs so the RSII team members should keep an eye out for anything that comes up that maybe you were unaware of.

    So let's begin.

A battle on a desert hill seemed to much for the stability of the said hill, ending up with my men sinking down to their waists, but still having enough tenacity to win the battle. That's my boys.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The bouncing man. I noticed in the distance all of a sudden that a single man went flying up into the air whilst fighting amongst my units. So I went closer to look and watched him fly a distance then fall to the ground for him to get up and instantly go flying through the air again like a poltergeist had a vendetta against him.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Map updates and has black squares on it. I had some diplomacy where I requested updated map information and received it, only to have a part of the map that I was familiar with turn to black squares.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Odd diplomacy. Check this out! In the same turn the Egyptians vassilize another nation and in turn become vassilized themselves. First time I have ever seen this.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

A reinforcing enemy army enters the battle but walks along the limits of the battle map and stays there spread thin. Some units look like they are trying to run away but they just run on the spot with the magical battle map limit marker not allowing them to pass. I had to put them to the sword.

Egyptians building lots of navies in a sea that is unnacessable to the rest of the campaign map. Can the AOR in this region not be edited so that ships can't be built??

@Yatee: I have the same with the Egyptian Navy:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

My odd things, most of them I called 'who says the AI is stupid...'

One greek ship blocking a port with a whole fleet...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Two things odd on the photo. The Dacian (ally) army either hiding from their enemies in my territory (wich it was afterwards) or just not a good planned attack with three legions in it's back. The Pirate ship you see in the lake above Dyrrhachium.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    This guy as a Rebel!!...
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

An artillery General...it wasn't actually thát stupid. I kept looking on the battlefield for their general, but didn't find him! he was all the way on the back!!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Why not make it one army?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This general forgot three things: never charge your cavalry up-hill, never charge ahead of infantry and definitively not when the Legionnaires still have their pilum and archers as back up.

No, they aren't. It is old map information, i should send a diplomat for acurate map information. Right now it's Pergamon in Turkey, after that Armenia and the Parths in Persia.

All those problems you are mentioning here are not being caused by RS2 but the game engine itself.

LOL. It`s even more funny when you read the unit`s state of mind(feeling secure on the hill).

Not to mess with your fun but the unit's state of mind you're talking about are of an archer unit, the one sinking is an infantry

Both are infantry units... Still funny if the archers are anywhere near there to see what happens and I`m guessing they are.

    I have just noticed this.

There are imposters amongst my ranks. Look at some of the men amongst my Gallic III legion fighting an enemy rebel Legion, you will see some men with a different legion's shield, and with bronze helmets instead of iron ones like the rest of my men. If you look closely, you can see them interspersed throughout my ranks!

Looking at the map there seems to be just a few too many red cohorts for them all to be from my army so I think that they may be an allied army's soldiers lining up amongst my men.

So it would appear that the enemy can imitate Roman tactics...namely the 'testudo'.

    Experience is ballsed up.

I know this is a vanilla R:TW problem but, how rediculous is this.

Here is an army with some units gaining experience for very little hard work. Especially the two units Republican Triarii gaining experience for no kills! Compare it with the second army below who received no experience despite a hard fought battle.

I thought that the experience thing was because experience is tracked individually for each man in the unit. Therefore, if the weakest members of a unit were killed, then the average experience would rise, regardless of what they did on the battlefield.
I think people used to complain about the opposite of your situation: valiant cavalry charges in wedge formation would seem to lose your unit experience, despite gaining a lot of kills, because all the most experienced men go at the wedge tip, and so die first.

That might be because well.. They are Imitation legionnaries, if my eyes dont deceive me

Oh and to do spoilers: [spoiler] Insert image here [/ spoiler] (Of course without space the second time) Or you could also quote someone who used spoiler, you will see it there.

Ps: I also had the horse problems. They rank high on my list of annoying bugs, bested only by the "Sally of an army within a city without walls-bug."

    LOL!

I don't have any sreenie now (anyway, Idk how to put the "spoiler alert" thingy), but has anyone ever noticed that sometimes, when you move the pointer over to a dead body it says:
    (Example)

    Arverni
    Celtic Heavy Spearmen (Heavy Infantry)-->(0)<--
    Dead<----------------------------------------------WTF!
    Fighting (Unhappy over taking casualties)<-------------
    Fresh

This has happened to me about six times, all of them playing as Rome.

I am having the same "problem"(I shouldn't call it that....Should I???) with the same faction...i.e. Arverni...(I am obviously the Romans).
I think it is due to the BI engine...I am using BI so I don't know about others.Because I found the same error while playing the Sassanid campaign
