If you add a new faction, will it default to southern european building styles on the battle map?

It depends which culture it has.
And it uses data from three folders Southern_european, Middle_eastern and Northern_European in the settlements folder.![]()
Thanks Ishan, I am not adding a "new" faction per se. I am adding a faction to third age, and Aztecs were an un used faction as is the mesoamerican culture was unused (I wanted a unique culture for the faction).
Did a test on the strat map (only starting with one castle) I was wondering, since by default, i didnt think the aztecs by default had anything beyond some hovels so i was curious what they would wind up looking like, the castle appeared to be kind of a middle eastern style. I will probably use your tutorial for the castle styles, to define the battle model style. I imagine the same can be done with cities and castles.
Aztecs notoroiously revert to middle eastern.
Yeah i am assuming I am going to need to go through and hex edit the aztecs into the building styles I want and create a faction variation.
Oddly though (my base mtw2 dir doesnt seem to have these files that would be required for me to change, its been unpacked).
Gaa, Ive got alot of work to do. On top of that I want to convert RTW sounds over to the new faction
While off topic, after extracting rtw battle map sounds, is any further conversion required to make them function correctly in mtw2?
I was reading the new accent guide, and it mentions mtw2 battlemap sounds are .wav 352kbps bla bla hz, mono (ha forgot the exact number there). The RTW sounds are exactly the same EXCEPT 88kbps as opposed to 352kbps, was wondering if this would cause a problem or would it still work.
If anyone was wondering the answer to my sound question above, it is yes, it works. You can pretty much seamlessly use RTW sound files in MTW2.
