Default Olympia has become a Pergamonese city!

Sorry don't have fraps so can't take a shot just yet. Year is winter 546. My last save in summer 546 I was besieging Halicarnassus from Ptolemaics. I've taken that, went to move my agents around and all of a sudden I'm at war with Rome and they were my allies (no mention of war declared that I recall) and Olympia is a Pergamon city, I've never been near the Greek mainland except with a spy and a diplomat!

I'm pretty sure I have the script running as I'm pretty diligent about doing that but it's possible I forgot. I'll play the attack from 546 summer again and see what happens.

    Has anyone seen that before?

Also, and completely unrelated, I've had a few instances of various cards showing with no picture - for example financial and overall position cards, if I close them then reselect the picture is back so not a problem, just an oddity.

BI, huge settings, with a modified exe for the extended memory addressing (I used the CFF Explorer method). Win7 Pro.

I assume you are playing as Pergamon? (Good choice, btw)

Could it be that Olympia rebelled? I had that happen sometimes in "vanilla BI", when I was "gifted" suddenly with some distant settlement, which I was unable to defend from my newfound enemies. I think that rebelling settlement sometimes choose to side with some far, but not too far off faction.

I don't think I've ever seen Olympia rebel to Pergamon - I presume it's caused by the underlying government buildings belongin to them......

The 'white' building and unit cards is a 'feature' of RTW. You can sometimes click on another settlement and the building unit cards can work there - if that's the case the ones that you could no see earlier will be working. This doesn't always work but they usually come back in a turn or so.....

They're not white, the picture is just not there and I've not seen it happen in vanilla or RS1.5/6. I have seen the white building cards before and it's not the same, but it's a minor issue nonetheless. When I load fraps on I'll take a screenshot.

As for Olympia, I'll assume this is a lucky rebellion, as the troops all have 2 gold chevrons, I may try to retain it for a while and see if I can use it as a foothold in the end - not really far enough along to be able to do too much with it yet.

    Thread can be closed.
