    Default RTR and new patches?

    I have looked for a more definitve answer to this question and it was somewhat answered in a post below, but i want to know is RTR coming out with a new version for the new patch, or is it already compatible? and 7.0 will be compatible with 1.6?

    RTR 6.3 is only compatible with 1.2. And yes, 7.0 will be made for 1.6.

    7.0 is Jumping to BI version 1.6 , and will not be released on RTW version 1.5 (1.5= rtw with BI improvements) ?

    Thats is indeed what they are saying, although ive never heard of 1.5.

    1.5 is a ptaxh for those who have rTW only, it fixes the pila fire bug and the scipii and brutii not oding sea invasions bug.

    Doesn't the fact that CA keeps releasing new patches delay the mod making progress?

    1.5 and 1.6 will surely be the last one for a while (if they didnt made some more bugs, while fixing the others)


    1.5 gives us:


    tweaking of the campaign map's memory leak
    diplomacy a bit tweaked
    the naval bug in 1.3 fixed
    fixed slowdown in bridge battles





    1.3 patch gives us:

    moddable mounted effect
    Improvements to the Campaign map AI
    Improvements to the battle AI ... AI is better during sieges , and stays in formation, during battles

    About the patches delaying progress, I doubt it. As far as I've seen, the text files are largely unchanged, most of the changes were "behind the scenes" in the exe itself.
