BACKSTABBED!

Not a rant thread.

ventilate your hard feelings after you just got backstabbed by your allies.

this happened to me when i was playing mordor. sauron called a invasion on gondor and i thought that all of the evil factions was going on a big slugfest at minas tirith.
i drained all my settlements except of a token garrison and marched upon w. osgiliath and cair andros at the same time. We killed faramir and took the settlements and then marched onward. when we lay siege to minas tirith the RHUN BASTARDS attacked minas morgul with their invasion army.

They can't do that with invasion army if you aren't excommunicated and if you were it's no wonder...

In Stainless Steel 6.3 which King Kong worked on, one of the options upon installing is choosing what type of AI to implement. There are 3 options. One AI that's super aggressive with extremely little chance of maintaining and holding an alliance. The 2nd is a neutralish option with still a good chance of being backstabbed while the final option has an AI that is extremely unlikely to attack you if you're allied with it - even if you share the same borders. It would be nice if we had a choice of this in the next TA patch.

ah stop being nasty for no reason, if you care so little for this thread then why the hell did you post in it?
i think this is a good thread because having an ally turn on you is always a massive pain in the ass, ESPECIALLY if its a good faction....ie those damn dwarfs....

Elven player over here

As the SE (my "good" faction) I allied with the Dwarves ASAP. Now we're trusted friends & I can besiege the Black Gates while they take care of northern Orcs.
It also works for the HE.

PS: I never saw a "Good" faction turning on its own allies. It's not the case w/ Evil ones, as the OP stated, & for the reasons I explained on my previous post = Sauron hates Heretics.

I bet all you want that this is a faith issue. Evil factions stick together only if they remain under the Dark Lord's authority. If you are "excommunicated", sad day 4U they will all jump at you. If an AI Evil faction is excommunicated, It will attack anybody on a desperate move.

This is not backstabbing at all, just how "natural selection" works for Evil factions. The important term here being "Evil" as some guys pointed out.
