    Default Question for city building

I have a question about city blacksmith building. First is it true not all the city has blacksmith? Second is it true not all the city has metal import building? Because I am playing Armenia, when I conquer City of Rahina(I don't know if I spell it right), a city between Armenia far right side, control by Seleucid, It seem doesn't has blacksmith or metal import building, I try with Seleucid doesn't have the metal import building either. What about if I used Persia, will I have the metal import building function?

You must remember, if you don't have resources like, gold, silver, iron, or lead you will not have these upgrades. But there are cards you can receive for resources in your city cue.
They will help you import these metals so you can have a blacksmith.

Previous post explains it pretty well, a city won't need to import metal if it is already to be found in the province. Anything u lack in the province, but do want, u will have to import

I think he means that he can't build the weapons metal import building and he STILL can't build the blacksmith. It's due to the fact that one of the hidden resources isn't working properly. Go to the folder that RS is in, click on whichever campaign you're playing, then go to Data/World/maps/base and find descr_regions.txt. Find the city in question, and add tin to the list of resources it has. This will then fix your problem.

I've found that there are some regions that don't have the iron resource but also cannot import weapons metals - no big deal as there are usually regions nearby that do.

Sometimes I find that the AI has built a 'precious metal import' - it I want the settlement to be able to upgrade a barracks I will destroy that building.

I think rory o'kane is right. Most likely that the hidden resources isn't working properly. Thanks for the tip and I will fix it myself.

Tin is one of the metal, some area historically that doesn't produce metal, so I need to build a weapons_import or precious_import. Shouldn't I need to add hidden resources of weapons_import or precious_import?

Does it really matter? It's a quick fix.
If you insist on doing it your way, I don't know which, but I assume that if weapons_import is added, then you can build it.

Well, I believe any country with the right time and place should be able to start or build weapons_import or precious_import. I guess I have to add those things to myself, but thanks for the help.

From what I've read on the dev forum a number of regions have been spotted with resource but for whatever reason they don't work properly (I think some are in the sea). The ones that have eben noticed will be fixed in the patch - we don't known when that will be ready either (after all it also needs to be tested).

Brusilov, By the way, the city called Rhagae. What I wrote earlier wasn't correct.
