    Hello everyone,

As many of you noticed the only way to temporary get rid off those damn floating flags is to every time disable them in main menu options....

Of course someone could say : "P.jakub88 why you bother us with this? Go to preferences file set the values to 2 and save to read only!!".

I did that but still the flags are displayed by default....

It is strange, i tried to disable all my mods and run the game via Steam - the same situation.

Maybe someone should create a mod that delete part of the main menu options panel?

Otherwise the player is forced every time to disable those big flags above units heads....

    Thanks in advance!!

go to your .cfg file and add this (for battle banners)

    show_banners = false
Common sense removed due being Disruptive.

Where i could find this *.cfg file? In data folder of Empire Total War or it is a part of one of the *.pack files?

What program or editor i need to open this file?

Sorry, but i'm playing ETW long time and i never heard of any of *.cfg files....

If you mean one of the hidden files in scripts folder i tried to save only to read but the flags still are present.

Please post here the full name and path to this .cfg file, because i' m unable to find it even with the Windows Vista search option in Menu Start.

I was searching a file that is responsible for user interface options in ETW, and i found in data folder file called ui.lua. But deleting this file causes nothing!! - even the user interface is present...

It must be another .lua or .luac that makes those damn flags visible by default - deleting this panel from ETW should permanently get rid off those floating flags.
Maybe i first need to delete preferences file??

Anyone knows where is located the file that is responsible of displaying those floating flags in land and naval battles??

I found the ui.pack file and i was able to delete those user interface panel from in-battle options, but the flags are still present...

It is a wrong way to delete panels (lua or luac file) , i should delete flags and panels should remains unhurt....

I tried to delete some files from battles ui subfolder of ui.pack but the flags are still displayed.
Dammit, it must be a file that is responsible of displaying those floating flags and it must be held in ui.pack!

Making preferences txt file as only to read do nothing....for the flags.
Deleting the user interface panels will only delete the panels and the possibility of change those option inside it.....

Maybe this is a video option held somewhere in lua files that enable the flags to be displayed during the land and naval battles. If i only knew where this info is held......
