Well, all I can recommend is to verify your NTW cache with Steam and if that doesn't fix the issue then you're probably going to have to re-install the entire game.

I've always found TROM2 very easy to install with the assistance of the mod manager, and never had a problem getting NTW to run upon uninstalling it after deleting the user script and verifying the cache. So, I can't really relate to the issues that you're having with it.

Fast to install and uninstall, indeed. On the topic of "verifying the cache": You should not need to do it, if you made a backup of the original "campaigns" folder. Works like a charm.
