This is the first time in my history of playing TW games that I have had enough money to create and upkeep the amount of stacks that I do in this game. I like to have one of every available auxilia legion and one of every numbered and named legion. So sometimes when I am not at war or trying to prepare for a war I will group stacks around a major city like Rome to retrain them and fit them with better armour before said war starts, however the only time I have Earthquakes are at these times. And as you may have guessed or experienced yourself the earthquakes only seem to take place where these stacks are grouped thus up to now I have had numerous stacks destroyed to a few men left in a cohort. 3 times I have 2,000+ soldiers wiped out, all the generals killed, not to mention the thousands killed in the city next to the stacks. Also this is rather annoying when the stacks are experienced silver chevroned legions.
Is it just my luck or is the game actually programmed to have earthquakes where there is a build up of stacks? I have also had a few enemy stacks at my gates when an earthquake struck and wiped out their army too.
(This was an earthquake outside of Carthage earlier in my campaign. Two stacks, two family members and 10,000 citizens gone, just like that. I think I have images of another time on a different PC I also use for this campaign of other times this has happened.)
