Default How to restore the old white tree symbol?

Hi just wondering how to restore the old white tree symbol from 1.5? I play with Gondor's color edited from blue/white to gray/white but since 2.1 the white tree on Gondor's banner is encased in a blue square, so I'd like to either find a way to edit the new symbol to change the color of the annoying blue square, or learn some way to restore the old symbol from 1.5. The latter option seems easier, though. (Why was the symbol changed anyway?)

    Thanks for your help.

I think in "m2tw/mods/tatw/data/ui/pips" you have to edit those pictures with gimp or photoshop

oh and edit the files in "m2tw/mods/tatw/data/banners" too

Thanks, I do have Photoshop but I'm certainly no pro. The 1.5 white tree background changed in accordance with whatever color one used (just like the Rohan white horse still does), how does one achieve that?

It seems a more elegant solution to just copy over the old files from 1.5, is there anywhere I can download them maybe?

No, I dont know. There werent TATW 1.5... Maybe you mean TATW 1.1 or older, because I'm playing it since 1.3 and always had blue tree...

If you arent pro, go to graphics workshop and ask someone to change the pictures

The blue banner was always there, but if you changed the primary color the entire banner changed. This time if you change Gondor's primary color to gray, a blue square remains around the white tree.

I replaced it but it had no effect whatsoever. I don't understand, is it the pips?

edited the white tree file in "m2tw/mods/tatw/data/ui/pips" too, no changes

Replaced both files to no effect. When the primary_color of Gondor is changed, the banner in the strategic map still has a blue square around the white tree symbol. Does anyone know what changes were done to the Gondor banner since 1.4.1?

I said this file isnt enough, it was just an example. You have to do with the .dds file what I done with this tga

Um, how do I edit .DDS files (I've got photoshop but it does not feel like opening it)? And what exactly did you do to the .TGA file?

I dont know how to edit .dds files, in tga files I have changed the blue to gray with a pencil tool

Ok, I've now edited the .tga and .dds files. It was successful and the square around the white tree has changed color accordingly. This, however, is not what I was trying to ask help with. let me clarify:

I am talking about the strategic map banner held aloft by the various units. Gondor has always had a blue banner. In 1.4.1 I changed the primary_color for Gondor from blue to gray (for Tolkien realism). The banner was then normal: light gray which normally changed to dark gray when more units were filled into the army, and in the center a normal white tree symbol (not surrounded by any strange textures).

In 2.1 the white tree is encased in a weird blue square. When the primary_color was changed from blue to gray, the banner's colors changed properly - but around the white tree in the center of the banner there was a blue square.

By modifying the .DDS and .TGA files pointed out by Supermoler, the color of this square can be changed. This, however, was not the point: in 1.4.1 there was no weird square surrounding the tree at all - I'm trying to figure out how to remove the square altogether leaving the white tree alone.

Side note: the horse symbol on Rohan's banner remains the same in 2.1 as in 1.4.1, i.e. it has no square surrounding it regardless of any changes in the faction's primary_color.

What about adding transparent around the tree?
