How to change the weapons that the units use.

I. Introduction.

Sometimes changing the weapons range didn't affect directly the unit range.

Every unit that use a ranged weapons use one of their types.

Like line infantry uses flintlock muskets and militia uses matchlock muskets.

II. Main Part.

Note: Make a backup of patch.pack file first!!

1) Download Pack File Manager from this thread, post number 1358, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...234546&page=68.

2) Open patch.pack file with Pack File Manager.

3) After you changed the weapons range (see tutorial http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=391866) find the table units_land_stats in patch.pack file.

4) There is a list of ALL units in game.

5) If you want i.e that citizenry to have 100 m range make their weapon (matchlock musket) to 100 m in projectiles tables first.

6) So if the particular weapon have "X" range, the unit that uses this weapon have "X" range.

7) Save the changes.

8) Choose pack action type - change from pack type to movie type.

9) Launch ETW even with Mod Manager, no problems with compatibility.

Remember to read carefully above tips to avoid data loss and CTD's.
