    Default Steam Installation

Well, I am currently deployed in Afganistan and was talking with some of the boys about this game after they were watching me play empire. I decided to download Rome total war since even though the graphics are not as top of the line - the different stratagy styles of the the different factions are much more interesting and I think a little history lesson through empire would be great.

So - I got Rome via Steam, took 12 hours to download but its there, and I want to put this mod in. Please give me spacific instructions to do so - or alternatly - point me towards a thread that does so. I have searched the forums and it seems like I need to dl the mod to a spacific file? Anyway, any help in this matter would be greatly appriciated.

I expect it will take the rest of the day to get the mod downloaded - but hay - I am out and about all day anyway so I will jsut let the peuter run its course and gather the data one bit at a time.

    thank you ahead of time.

Ok, back from 'the office' hre - 7 views no replys. Any takers?

Lets put it this way - using programs like steam is going to bcome the norm - and for RTW I forsee future players relying on steam to play it, so it would be really great for myself and future players of RTW to get very spacific instructions on how to dl this mod into steam.

so come on - there has to be someone who can guide this process.

    It isn't too hard.

Just note: you need to copy & paste the full of RTW if you want to play Vannila again, since it writes over the files.

It has a installer, so all you have to do is redirect it.

    C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold

    That should be it.

If you ever want to play vannila again, you have to move all of the files out of the folder, put and the back-up, and your ready to play vannila.
