    Default KIEVAN RUS

I just downloaded the mod and was looking over in game at some of the units I can get for Kivean Rus, and I don't see that I can get Kivean Nobles, Cossac archers or mounted Cossac gunners. Am I missing something or have these units been taken out of the game?

it takes time before you get high tier troops. I have played kievans over 100 turns or so and i have just recently been able to hire Kievan nobles. Cossack gunners arent availevable untill you have found gunpowder

thanks, now I'll definitely play them. Also are the units for all the factions in 6.3 still the same like shown on this site: http://totalwar.honga.net/faction.ph...6&f=kievan_rus

If you want a quick preview of any unit in 6.3 or any mod and want to confirm whether they are there or not.
    Just go in:-
    Code:
    SS6.3\data\ui\unit_info\X
Where X is the name of the faction. U'll see .tga files so download GIMP a free photo-editing software to take a glimpse of the units.
Plus the files are arranged by unit names so you can always confirm they are there or not.

Or you can check the factions out in the custom battle unit selection. Note that you will get to see AOR units there too at the moment afaik.

exactly what I was gonna say always easier the simple way lol, would be excellent if we could get a tick box in there to add or remove AOR units as it does make the all roster a bit cluttered to see what is what. (mmm mite post this in suggestions for 6.3 actually.)

Just because an icon is there though, it doesn't mean the unit is in-game.
There's plenty of redundant icons lying around. There's even an unit info card in many of the unit card folders.

Well that is the uncleaned mess of SS guys i would say.
But on a serious notion EDB file is the real file to confirm if a unit exists or is available on campaign map or not.

Just open the file with notepad and press Ctrl+F and a find box will pop up and there u put the name of the unit like:-
    Code:
    Mailed Knights
for eg. and if it's there it will show. or simply scroll around it to find it if u are really desperate.

    *EDB= export_descr_buildings.txt file in the SS6.3\data folder.
