When 6.1 came out, I played it religiously, Loved that game, and loved playing as my father country, POLAND. I have come to find that in 6.3, the diversity in units is somewhat improved, but that certain things simply are not to my liking, and my biggest peave is the Polish Guard Skins.
The Polish Guard have a picture of a fully plated Knight of the Gothic Style, Which makes perfect sense once they have their full armor upgrade. In 6.1, after an upgrade, the Polish Guard changed from Medieval to more Gothic looking, Which I LOVED about them.
In 6.3, they retain the SAME PICTURE! BUT NOT EVEN AFTER UPGRADING TO GOLD DO THEY CHANGE APPEARANCE!!!! That means that the files were altered to make them less armoured than they were, its like taking one step forward and two steps back.
I can understand the Polish Noble loosing their Javelins, (even though that kills a huge amount of diversity and gameplay options for the Polish Player because now they have Polish Sergeants and Nobles side by side, both simple melee cavalry. In all honesty, make the sergeants throw javelins since theyre weaker and so the early nobles aren't to OP, but don't take away diversity factors that make the gameplay so much better)
The addition of the gendarmes into the Polish Ranks is interesting, and makes sense, but the Polish Guard should not, SHOULD NOT, lack heavy Gothic Armour ater three armor upgrades. If someone knows how to alter this, please show me how, or point me in the right direction, I'd be hugely greatful.
There are plenty of amazing changes in 6.3, but there are some things, like the fact that the Teutonic Knights have Novgorod Symbols on the campaign map and the Kwarezm Empire is apparently the Crusader States... I was very confused when I saw the Lithuanians with the Tuetonic Cross as well.
So if anyone could tell me how to change this, i beg of your assistance. And I would seriously advise that the Polish guard, overall, remain with the armor upgrade as in 6.1, it just looks better for peets sake.
