When I launch my mod (minimal modded Crusades) loading screen shows, then it suddenly shows desktop. Log founds errors in files that I didn't even edit. Anyone knows any solutions?
That's not an error.![]()
Assuming it wasn't CTDing when you started, what did you do to make it CTD? You changed what in what file?
If it's hard to say because you made a bunch of changes before checking that it works, then you made your job harder by taking that shortcut.
So it wasn't working in the first place? ... Sorry, I don't understand what you're doing at all...
Nope, still no closer to understanding what you are doing.
Was it working OK before you started changing things? Yes or no?
Yes? What did you do before your problem appeared?
No? Why did you bother trying to mod it if it was broken to begin with?
Sorry if I appear to be asking stupid questions, this is really where I am at while trying to understand how you've arrived at your problem.
So again the question is, since it wasn't working to begin with (before you modded anything) why did you try modding stuff? You should have fixed all problems and made it work before trying to add a new faction or a new region.

OK, MN, when did you start checking that everything was working fine?
It's like if you lost something, I am asking you where you saw it last. If it was a long time ago then it's going to be hard for you to remember.
Likewise, if you did a lot before testing that the game worked then it's going to be hard to work out where the mistake is. If you know when it was working, and you know what you did next, then you're a step closer to finding the error that isn't reported in your log.
If you don't know what you did that caused the problem then just start again, and test as you go along (This is what I would do).

Which files would that be, these? Creating a World - Functional Grape Shot
Unlikely they will create a crash - guess you are back to the new faction files. Hard to pinpoint an error there.
So you didn't test after adding a new faction. Have you tried removing the grapeshot work you added? If it still doesn't work then that narrows it down to adding the faction. So that would be what you need to then double-check.

I think you should start from scratch now. Then place the grape shot. And test it after that continue to add a new faction.
And you should make a complete backup of your entire mod folder when u pick up something huge that involves modding of multiple files at the same time.![]()
OK, in event, that I forgott to add my faction to any files, here's list of all thing I have done in my mod folder:
Cloned Jerusalem/edited:
-data
--descr_sm_factions
--descr_names
--export_descr_buildings
--export_descr_unit
--descr_model_strat
--descr_character
--descr_banners_new
--descr_offmap_models
--descr_lbc_db
--descr_win_conditions
-worlds
--descr_faction_movies
--descr_win_conditions
--descr_strat
--cloned all jerusalem maps
-text
--expanded
Created a "Bern" region with GeoMod for my faction
--Added region to descr_regions_and_settlement_name_lookup
Cloned Jerusalem models in folders:
-ui
--captain banners
--faction symbols
--unit info
--units
-unit models
--early generals/textures
--fancy captain/textures
--fancy generals/textures
-unit sprites
-models strat/textures-menu/symbols
Ishan, strange, in original unpacked crusades folder there's no grapeshot error, even without Gig's fix.
descr_lbc_db.txt isn't mentioned, nor is descr_offmap_models. Descr_win_conditions, modeldb are not to be seen or mentioned..
Have a look in my tut again.
