Default An idea for a huge mod

Hi there, I've been playing for a while SS and I really appreciated, this is really the best mod I've ever played.

But then I search new downloads to taste other ideas for this game and I found the Broken Crescent mod. I really enjoyed the mod with all the diversity of the units, the kingdoms, the events and the art of the conception of the units

At first, the mod is really great but I wasn't really comfortable with all the sudden huge stats, maybe the RR/RC did prove the it makes the perfect balance imo. But on the other hand, I'd really loved the diversity of units and the historic description of them. And the graphical art of the units is just superb because in SS the muslim rosters is unfortunately sad compared to BC.

The goal of my topic, I'm not a modder, I don't even know how to modify folder except by installing/copying files, but a idea came in mind: why not make a mod reuniting both of the mods!! Of course, not taking all the features of each but taking several features.

Here a little suggestion of this:
The map will be much like the SS one but indeed the muslim factions will be reworked like BC
Making much more different units, as I see in BC, nearly no factions have same troops except general one such gulam, ghazi, etc. and really the thing that surprised me is the diversity of general's bodyguard.

The RR/RC and balanced stat by PB is a good must.

There many more things I would suggest but unfortunately I'm not computer wise and I would really appreciated the creation of a project similary. I'm sure many fans would like that idea and I hope so. Leave your comments of what you think about and hope some modders will like the concept

You might want to take a look at this thread. CLICK ME!
It seems to be attempting to introduce units from Broken Crescent to Stainless Steel.

There are some issues with this though. 1 - the max number of units are reached. Obviously it'd mainly be a moot point since the current ones would get removed in favour of the new ones. The main problem is the fact that while the units in BC are very well made, they've only created one skin for each unit. The armor upgrades that are so important in SS would be hard to implement, as the BC crew haven't made different skins for new armor upgrades.

Is there a specific program for creating skins/units and stats? Cuz I'm not really good at programming

That sad, so teams are separated for each project and they don't help each other? I thought they were there to make the gaming experience as best as possible. I'm not criticizing but it's really sad

For making new models it's 3dx max and Milkshape(buy them to make units)
For Skins it's Gimp(free) or Photoshop(have to buy).

    ^This not easy.

Some Guys are Flexible and some are not in this case.
And both are right in their places it's their hard work and so the decision is completely upto to them and we have to respect that.

So start learning how to make new images while also pestering the BC team to make some. You have to approach the problem from all sides.

In a perfect world we'd have SS, with the terrain and roleplay elements of DLV. We'd have the units and factions from BC and BftB, as well as all the lands spanning from the Atlantic to the Pacific to play on.

We'd have every cool script and submod ever made for Medieval 2, all in one. And turn times would still be under 10 seconds!!!

    In a perfect world....

Having said that, I'd love to see some models from BC added!!

I'll start a new religion to idolize you once you're done!

I do know Rollingwave is using some BC models for his Improved Moorish Roster. Beta can be downloaded now!
