A little more in depth.

So that wiki I posted is unfinished?
I'm actually going to read the 3 Mass Effect novels over Christmas. I have it all planned out and it will be awesome.
So, do I read right in that one of them explains bits of ME3? That's pretty cool. I can't wait for it to be even announced.

There is about 30 more pages in the book after the wiki article ends whereinI just read it a month ago, it's a great book, feels just like Mass Effect with nearly spot on dialog for the characters that are in Mass Effect (some times books based on a movie or game have dialog that doesn't fit with the character created in said book or movie, I hate it when that happens )Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
A few things happen that will change a very few select things in ME3 from where they were in ME2 (character related), but nothing ME3 related is explained or previewed.

IGN on what they want and don't want in ME3.
I totally agree with everything they listed there. Come on Bioware pay attention!
I would like a flight sim mini-game or level, but Shepard isn't a pilot or in any way certified to actually fly the ship or even use its guns.
Only way it would work is if you are given control over Joker, and even then it wouldn't work as the Normandy is not a fighter and as such you can't just simply fly it around however you like.
I for one would love to pilot the Normandy as Grunt.
I agree with many of the points in the IGN article. In my opinion the ME2 style was perfect and they shouldn't change it, though.
I didn't like that it was you running errands for your team mates. Perhaps they can change that part a bit.
yes, good points there.
btw, Bioware already announced that ME 1&2 decisions will have much more impact on ME3 than it was with ME2
They would be rather foolish to state otherwise, wouldn't they?
I really hope they pull that off, though, because the actual importance of your actions in ME1 for what happens in ME2 is pretty negligible in hindsight, so that's obviously the thing that Bioware has to pick up and improve on.
