How do make William Wallace spawn? I really need that guy, pls help.![]()
need to have less than 3 or 2 settlements, and needs to be at least turn 70 (I think lol too lazy to look at script right now)
Don't forget to rep me if you like something I did/ or not lol

Pwning as the Pope on VH/VH Savage AI SS 6.4!
For what it's worth, I got the "William Wallace has arrived" announcement in my Portugal campaign about turn 80-85 or so. Scotland was low on the faction rankings, but his arrival has helped them survive for now.
Speaking of early Scottish campaigns I started one as well, never played Scotland before. I was hoping for a bloody slug fest with England but instead I got a turkey shoot.
Even though the English declared war on me first (by blockading a port) they never made an effort to attack me by land. Instead a full stack with 3 generals is sitting in London while all the other towns are left with skeleton garrisons (1-3 battalions) for me to take on a whim. Ireland was easy pickings as well with no competition from England, two free towns basically.
The English seem to be doing pretty well on the continent having taken a few neutral and French settlements but in Britain itself they're just sitting on their elbows waiting to be steamrolled. Quite disappointing.
Playing vh/vh with savage AI, RR on and MSC. I kinda envy the op and the fact he actually seems to be having problems with the Limeys. Guess I'm just wondering what the deal is.
AI does not handle 2 fronts well. If they had picked the fight with you first and decided to eliminate Scotland you'd have a nice fight- however it appears France is the first target and for AI that usually means only target... especially when there are 2 separate lands.
Unfortunately you often see this even when Scotland is AI controlled. The English AI focus on France and leaves the island unguarded and within 20 turns Scotland controls the whole island.
I noticed that too, kind of, in my current HRE campaign. The English AI focused on France, expanded and eliminated them and then turned it's attention on the Scots and eliminated them.
And furthremore, in my crusader states campaign, I migrated to Ireland, took it over, and took over the one rebel castle on the west coast of England, I think Cameron, something like that. However disaster hit when the French kicked the English out of their continental possesion, Caen. England attacked both the Scots, taking Inverness and Edinburgh, and Me, the crusader states at Cameron. England controls most of the English Island..It ruined my crusader states campaign, and I gave up.

Hmm, figures. They did finally try to retake York but it was a bit of a half-assed attempt with a small army. However, the fact that my general had 0 command stars and the English one had like 6 and that those Norman Serjeants are a tough nut to crack for my technologically impaired Scots meant that both armies suffered more than 90% casualties thus ending my sally in a draw. The English abandoned the siege the next turn.
But now comes the best part. Just as I was contemplating what to do about the mostly passive English the godsdamned Norwegians landed on British shores with a sizable army (3/5ths of a stack) led by a 7 star general and besieged the now weakened garrison at York. This is something I really did not expect. My general there is most likely a goner but this campaign may end up being more eventful than I though it would.
With RR's slow replenishment those troops piling up in Ireland may actually become needed now.

As far as I'm aware the following isn't really officially supported but you could switch out campaign AIs for the 20ish turns and see if that kickstarts the English. Just make a backup save and select a more aggressive AI (graculs) together with the old campaign options you used.
Recently they tried to retake Wales with an almost full stack and a good general so that's something I guess but all of their non-London cities are virtually empty and exposed to attack.
At one point I did notice that there were troops being produced in said cities but the next turn they disappeared. I suspect they were all sent to the French front as there are ships moving in the Channel.
The Norwegian naval landing was a nice surprise and I've also been excommunicated (ha!) so it's hard to predict what's gonna happen. My next logical target would be Nottingham but I'm loathe to take it as it's an important castle and I fear it would cripple the English AI's troop production in Britain.
I've actually tried it. It's only been a few turns, will see what happens.
Hmmm, that is funny. In most of my campaigns England has like 10 stacks sitting on the island, and not the mainland.....they must have declared war on the Scotts before the French.
I will have to look into it.
ye I find whenever I play a faction that is away from england they tend to take a big chunk out of France then turn on the rest of the British isles the AI must see the french as biggest threat which is probably right to be honest. william wallace has come in all my campaigns when the english have taken edinburgh and left the scottish with just the two provinces in scotland remaining which is the same as what happend in my england campaign as well.
if you take nottingham they may attack as you will border their capital or if you dont want to cripple them take the other city that borders london.
also are you allied with france and at war with england?
