Default Questions on Eastern Empire Excubitores and other interface questions

I am currently playing at the Eastern empire, and the year in 416. I noticed in the previews, there were different character portraits for Romans, as well as a preview of the excubitores unit, which was recruitable later in the game. I have two questions based off of the previews:

    1. At at point do the Excubitores become playable?

    2. Is there a certain point in time when the character portraits change? Mine are still the vanilla portraits.

First of all, the previews are showing features that will be included in the upcoming version, called RVINA ROMAE 8.0. It has not yet been released, so nothing of the stuff shown in the previews are available to the public. I think you're playing the older, current version, IBFD 7.03. Take a look in our FAQ section above for more answers.

I still thinking if at least one unit is avialable at the game`s beginning.
But you will be capable of recruiting more of them or retrain them much later.
