Default Losing money like crazy. Please help!

I'm playing Scotland and all of a sudden after joining a crusade that finishied I'm losing all my money. The game says it is from my military upkeep yet I disbanded all my military. I have no military uniits and still I'm losing a ton of money on military upkeep. I do have a lot of family members that recently came of age. Are they sucking up the money? I can't dispand them.

    Please help.

    Also, probably known but:

The texture on Scottish Hoblars and English Knights is screwed up. It looks like their heads are made of helmet and their necks have the face texture.

Version 6.1. I didn't realize a newer version is out.

But one question. Do the family members count toward army upkeep?

    Thank you for the link.

The only thing I see is the Pirates event is misfiring. There are pirates around Scotland but I never received notification of any type of Pirates event. If I go by the financial numbers I'm still importing and exporting the same amount and the numbers do make sense if I had a military.

The only other new thing was my king acquired a trait that said he was able to take money from people that didn't know they should have it. But the description said it allowed for more from taxes. However, there is a "Kings Purse" that started gaining money in the financial summary after he acquired this trait.

It doesn't matter anymore I guess since I'm downloading 6.3 though. It is more a matter of curiosity now.

I think you might have installed BGR III with the 6.1 patch. That correct? In BGR nobles / family members cost money.

No BGRIII with 6.1. I am using BGRIV now with 6.3 but didn't install it in the earlier version. I'm not sure if I like it though. What I don't understand with BGRIV is when I train an army why it must be paid for twice (once from the treasury and again from the noble). Wouldn't it make more sense for just the noble to pay for it and then bill the treasury the next turn? Also, fielding an army of good size now really hurts the economy. While I can understand that, why is England, who I'm at war with and owns less land than me able to field an even larger army with no apparent trouble?

And BGRIV is meant to increase difficulty for the player. Don't use it if the normal game is already challenging enough for you.
